I am overwhelmed with my emotions and thoughts. I have to take a step back and realize that
everyone is fighting some sort of a battle. Not just me, not just my mom and not just one of my friends. Literally everyone is fighting their own battles-whether it be with themselves and their own insecurities or literally battling a sickness. I'm not the reason they are distant or short towards me and i'm ok with that realization. I guess it's part of growing up and viewing things differently after having a baby.
Presley is constantly teaching me lessons about myself and life. The past few weeks have been filled with hard "mommy days"- It's not easy! Our schedules have changed and Presley has been teething and going through a growth spurt. She has been extremely fussy and not her normal happy self. On top of Zane working 6am-10pm most of August, I have pretty much been a single mom. My patience has been running thin and I have been frustrated/stressed with everyday life things. I have been on go-go-go mode. Presley will just look me in the eye, grab my face, say Mommy and give me a kiss, my heart melts and she brings me back to reality. Once again, the laundry and dishes can wait.

This past weekend we drove home to see my family, we haven't seen them since May. It was so great to watch them with Presley. She is still saying "Sassy", "B" and "Joe". The drive however, was not fun. After her screaming for 30 minutes before I found a rest stop, I was sweating and my heart was racing. I was beyond frustrated and stressed out. Once again, she was teaching me a lesson. I need to slow down and not worry about when we would get there. All she wanted to do was walk around for a little bit and all I cared about was getting home as fast as possible. Other than than the drive we had a great low-key weekend filled with lots of family time, Johnny B's, swimming and love. I am definitely home sick and missing them like crazy!

Football started with the home opener against Northwestern Louisiana State. Tech won 44-6! Here is Zane telling the Ref it was a touchdown- it ended up not being one. Next game is on the road against Texas State in San Marcos. Zane is excited he will get to see his sister and brother in law, Go Tech!
