Lately

For Zane's birthday I got him a cookie cake and brought it up to work for him to share with his students while they were working football camps. I kidnapped him and we went to dinner across the street from football and came immediately back to work. I stayed with him for the rest of the evening while he worked. It was fun to watch the highschool kids play football while at camp. We had a nice relaxing weekend and didn't do much which was so nice. Sunday we went over to the Perry's to have burgers for Zane's birthday family lunch. Robin is in town for the week because Quetta had knee replacement surgery on Monday. She is doing good, moving around and will be recovering for a while. Thank you Robin for coming up to help! 

Today my cousin Andy and his wife Julie will be having their second child. They nick-named it "pickle" because they didn't want to know the sex. I am so excited for them and am anxiously waiting to hear if it's a boy or a girl. Congrats you guys!

Other than that we are starting to get ready for our trip to Destin. I keep hearing two sides of the story about the oil. On the interenet people keep saying "The oil is here" and then other people saying "The oil isn't here yet!" so I decided that i'm not going to pay attention to that and we will see how it is once we get there. Worst case scenario is we will have to go down the beach a few miles if our beach is closed. I know that there will be tar balls on the beach. I'm just excited to have a vacation! We will have fun no matter what. Leslie just sent me this picture from Pensacola which is about an hour west of Destin.

Looks perfect to me! We leave Wednesday the 23rd and will be back in Texas on Monday the 28th. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! (that's me being excited)
