Warning: This post is graphic and discusses a stomach bug.
They had an event in Lubbock the night before and he was just sitting there in the airport alone. I turned to Zane and said "That's the Situation just sitting right there!" I walked up to him with a huge grin on my face and asked for a picture and he was SUPER nice. He is portrayed as a jerk on the show but he kept saying things like "God bless you" and "your family is beautiful"-Shocked me!
Presley did great on the plane. We landed at DFW around 1:20 and we missed lunch so we were starving. I got a little nauseous in the car ride to lunch. The entire time I was eating I kept saying "My stomach feels weird". We ate Johnny B's and rushed home to freshen up to meet our friends at the Rangers pre-game at 3:30 and game at 7. My mom ended up giving me some gas-x and not even 5 minutes later I was throwing up. Afterwards I felt fine! So we decide to head to the pre-game a little late.
We make it to batting practice just in time. I ended up asking the Ranger's trainer if he had any medicine for Nausea because I wasn't feeling 100%. 20 Minutes after I had taken that medicine it hit me again...both ends. Let's just say Zane had to buy me a shirt and shorts. I spent the entire pre-game in the bathroom. Thank god Becca and Ilia were there to take care of me and help!
After getting some fresh air in my new outfit it hit me again...but worse. So I texted Zane and said we need to go home. We didn't even get to see the first pitch. I was so embarrassed and felt terrible for leaving our friends! Once we were home I felt fine, just exhausted so I went to bed.
Around 4am Presley starts throwing up. She ended up throwing up a few more times. The next day we took it easy before heading to the Ranger's game that night, the 5th Annual Anniversary game.
I wasn't 100% but was feeling good enough to hang out with the Ranger's. During the game we kept getting texts from friends in Lubbock that there was a few tornados on the ground in Wolfforth and Lubbock. Our house is in Wolfforth so of course Zane and I are immediately worried and concerned about our family and friends in the area. We end up leaving the game early because we can't focus on the game anymore.
Our flight was VERY early on Monday morning. I went straight to the daycare and Zane went straight to the house. We didn't have any damage and neither did any of our family. We heard reports of baseball size hail. But we were very lucky!
All in all we just couldn't enjoy the trip because of other things going on. My mom ended up getting the stomach bug as well. Which, she did not need. I'll update you guys on mom soon. This will be the last time I force an anniversary trip!
