2011

Whew! What a whirlwind the past two weeks have been and it's not going to slow down anytime soon. First I want to say Happy New Year! Last year I did a recap of 2009 before the new year came and compared to 2010 it was pretty uneventful so i'll spare you the details and say that it was the hardest year of my life and as much as it doesn't make sense to say, it was the worst and best year combined. Lots of lows and highs. I'd like to say that i'm ready for whatever 2011 has to throw at me but for now i'm going to be tip-toeing. Now here are some pictures for you to enjoy from the past two weeks. And be prepared this is a long post with updates for the next few months!

A little late I know but here is a 27 week baby bump picture before we left for Dallas for Christmas. We had great christmases with both families! I don't have the Perry family christmas pictures on my work computer but it was fun to have them at our house this year. And I didn't even take any pictures of christmas in Southlake, oops.
My Aunt B gave this to me on christmas day and I'm officially obsessed with it. This is PK's (Yes, Presley Kaye already has a nick-name) first texas tech gear and I LOVE it. Thanks B!

Here we are on New Year's. We were so happy that we were able to spend New Year's with most of our college friends in Dallas. Becca and Justin had a party and although it was an early morning for Zane (4am reporting time) and I couldn't "party" we had a great time!

Lindsay, Becca, Codi and Logan trying to feel Presley kick. She never did but it was hilarous standing there while they were trying to feel her.

My sweet, sweet friends Becca and Lindsay. These two are hosting our first baby shower in Southlake on Sunday, Love you girls!

Now for the game. It was an early 11am kick-off and it was COLD. It was held in the historic cotton bowl and the Inaugural Ticket City Bowl was very....Inaugural. I think it was a learning experience for everyone involved. But we won! With a winning season of 8-5 I don't think that is that bad for a a new coaching staff!

Zane working hard!

Tony and Britney came with me to the game even though they had a late night. Thanks for coming with me!

We had a doctors appointment this week and I had to do the glucose test checking for gestational diabetes. I haven't gotten the results back yet so i'm not sure if I passed but that sugary drink is disgusting. No pictures to share but she is 2 pounds 4 oz and the doctor said everything looked good!

Now for the next few months. Tomorrow morning we are heading back to Southlake. Zane is attending the American Football Coaches Association conference being held in Dallas and it worked out that I was able to go with him. Lindsay and Becca will be hosting our first baby shower on Sunday. I'm so lucky to have such great friends! We will be there until Tuesday. Once we get back to Lubbock the countdown begins and I won't be able to travel anymore. We have the 30 week 3d/4d sonogram on January 12th (so excited!), child birthing classes on January 15th, the Lubbock Baby Shower on January 30th, breast feeding classes on January 31st and after that we go to the doctor every week until Presley is born! WHAT?! I can't believe it's so close, in around 2 months she will be here.

Mom Update: She finally got her last drainage tube out and she said that she feels so much better. She needs to gain some weight back but she is getting around great. While I was home for christmas I took her to get a manicure and a haircut so hopefully that helped make her feel more normal again. She gets tired easily so she rests when she needs to. This week she said that she had a rough couple of days with some dull pain by her ribs but the doctor said that it was minor but to monitor it if it gets worse.
