Since Tech did not make a bowl game this year we were able to plan New Years on our own. I threw out the idea to Zane that we should go to Ruidoso, NM and with out me knowing he planned it!
The last time we went to Ruidoso it was quite dramatic. Refer to
this post. So we invited Jenn, Taylor, Logan and Court to go with us again. Of course, it wouldn't be a Perry trip if we didn't have some sort of car trouble. As soon as we left Lubbock my tire light came on. So we stopped in the next town to air it up...that wasn't going to work you could feel and hear the air coming out of the tire. So we stopped at Big Willie's Tire Shop and Penny's Pet Parlor...two in one! They patched the tire and we were back on the road...

We probably could've taken 2 other couples with us because the cabin was huge! It was called Pigskin Palace. We didn't do much besides sitting around and enjoying each others company. We had a few adult beverages with Jenga thrown in the mix.

Zane and I were able to catch up on some sleep. We all went tubing and it was crazy busy! TONS of Spanish speaking families.

On the way home Zane was so excited to stop in Lincoln, NM where there is a Billy the Kid museum, He is a big history buff. It was interesting to be in the same building where history was made.

We didn't even make it into town to see Ruidoso or the casino. That just means we need to go back! It was a quick little get away with great friends!

We seriously had a blast with you guys! I re-read the post from 2010 and now looking back, your post DID do the trip justice...I had forgotten about a few of the deets haha! Glad this year we kept the drama to a minimum :)
