Back to December

Zane and I both got new cars! I got a blue 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and i'm loving it! It's got a little bit more space than the Murano but it's not that much bigger. Zane got a Red 2008 Ford F-150. The new truck is finally replacing this truck from two years ago!

We left for our long road trip to Houston for the Bowl Game on a Saturday and stopped in Austin to see Aunt Rob and Uncle Tommy for a night. It was a quick night but we are glad we were able to spend some time with them!

We then made the quick drive to Houston where we spent the next week including Christmas in a hotel that was attached to the Houston Galleria Mall.

We just hung out in the hotel, the mall or the hospitality suite the entire week.

Luckily i'm good friends with the other equipment wives and we made the best of it. Piper had the Flu for the first few days so we didn't see much of her. I'm so thankful for Greta and Piper, they were SO great with Presley while we were there and it made the trip so much better.

Christmas day we had a dinner with all of the staff, players and Santa! It didn't seem like Christmas at all. We also got to see our dear friend Codi and her kids Grayson and Bailey. We went to Zoo lights one night!

Finally, game day was here. Kickoff wasn't until 8pm. One of the staff families has a teenage daughter and a little girl named Presley who is exactly a year older than our Presley who offered to watch her for the game. I was relieved because I didn't want to bring her with it being so late. It was also VERY cold and windy. Tony and Brendan came to the game with me. Unfortunately Brendan got sick during the game and left early. He missed out because it was one hell of a game. Tons of jumping, screaming, fingers crossing and drama. But we WON! Beating the Golden Gophers from Minnesota 34-31 in the last seconds. Very exciting!

It was a very late night and we hit the road to Southlake the next morning for one night and to celebrate Christmas with my family. After a long week we were exhausted and couldn't wait to be out of a hotel. All in all we had a great week with some great people and we got a win! 

For those of you Red Raider football fans out there. You will be happy to know that Zane and his staff are still working for Kliff. We are so excited for the 2013 season with a new staff. Wreck 'em!
